The first step is to standardise the utilized data, which is a pre-requisite for error-free processes and evaluations. Since 1998, Medical Columbus has been supplying hospitals with the data standard for eCommerce applications in hospitals and providing compatibility between different systems. Existing systems on both sides, client and the supplier, can remain unchanged.

In addition, Medical Columbus offers a reference database system for more than 3 million product items, classified according to more than 110,000 generic item definitions.
